Augusta, GA was founded in 1736 as a fur and tobacco trading post alond the Savannah River being one of only three cities settled along this beautifaul river. Also known as "The Garend City" for it's once large number of privately owned gardens Augusta, GA has been the capital of the state of Georgia twice in it's history.
